The title you chose for our class book is The Hunger Games. I know you are super excited to get reading, so I will distribute the books on Monday. Good readers always predict before and during reading. Based on the title and the conversations we have had in class, make some predictions.
What do you think might be some connections between the title and the book?
Think of elements of a narrative. Predict the setting, characters, point of view, and conflict.

I think that the hunger games has something to do with games, but not hunger. There may be a series of challenges that are very important.
I think the Hunger Games are not as much a game, but a challenge for the characters. There may be a test of bravery, courage, and skill.

I think that The Hunger Games will be pretty violent. I also think that The Hunger Games is called that because it's about someone that goes to a game thats called the Hunger Games.

I think that the setting will be in a certain area with some things that will help you, if you know where to look. I think the characters will be somewhat young and will be kind of clueless of what to do. The point of view will probably be in 1st person, from the main character's perspective. I think that the conflict will be lots of challenges that will be solved.

I think the Hunger games will be about a violent and insane game that an evil empire forces it a few children to go to every year. I think it will have lots of action and adventure, and will test all the characters to the limit of physical and mental strength.

I predict the hunger games is about a game in which you fight against things such as humans or animals over food or else you will die. The hunger games could be made by a powerful group, a city, a town, etc.. I think the setting will take place in a deserted or unknown area. The book will probably be in 1st person, from the main characters perspective

I think the Hunger Games involves how someone is changed by spending time away from an ever day lifestile to go to the Hunger Games.

I have never read any of the Hunger Games before. Although, I have heard great things about the series. While we were talking in the class, I infered that the Hunger Games was an action book. I think that it will just leave me hanging and wanting more. The title itself is The Hunger Games, so I am guessing that it will be in a forrest, and friends go on amazing adventures, maybe something do with hunting( HUNGER games). I think the characters will be a variety of great people. I think somehow, they will all be special in their own way. Maybe, to express point of view, the author will give one or two chapters to each character. Along their epic journeys, they might make more friends, and possibly more enemies.
I do not know much about the book Hunger Games but I think it will be about a compitition that happens annuelly. I think in this compition the characters hunt each other and eat their opponents(has too do with hunger??). I think this book will be violent and competitive. I think the setting will be in the future in a dark violent city. My prediction is the characters will be tweens and teenagers fighting to win the compititon(conflict). I think the piont of veiw will be first person and a little bit of third person.

I think the Hunger Games will be somewhat like he movie Tron. There will be fight to the death competitions and many people will die.
I think the setting will be in a bowl-like stadium and the characters will be tough and fit, Mentally and Physically. I also think hat he conflict will be making friends and then having them die or suffer. Also, he conflict will be all the fighting

Anyhow, I predict that it happens in the future and has to do with a kingdom that goes hungry because of the bad ruling by the royalty. I think that the villagers/townspeople will be fighting against the wealthier people for food.

Also the main characters probably have to watch some of their close friends and family die. This book sounds both intriguing and intense, so I am excited to start reading.

I predict that the book will be about a battle for survival. I think that the word games in the title will tie in with a tournament. I think the setting will take place in the future and that there will be multiple important characters. I think the game will be the conflect.

I think the main character, Katniss, will be elected to join the hunger games. think the hunger games are something where they select certain people from each distric and send them to a type of war with the other districs for the capitols enjoyment.

Hey everyone its Viking Queen! I think that this book is about survival during a series of challenges. When I read the back, I thought that it would be a bunch of kids in a compition, running around trying to kill each other. Survival of the fittest, I guess. I think the setting will be in the woods- it sounds like it should- dark and creepy. It may be called The Hunger Games because maybe who ever wins gets to eat? Or maybe the kids are hungry for murder. Or- you probably should not read this if you get freaked out over blood- maybe however many people you kill is the amount of people you eat? That would be pretty gory.
I think that the story's point of view is maybe one of contestants. I bet there will be many different characters in the games.
Maybe a conflict will be that she meets someone that she really doesn’t want to kill, but has to. I am excited to start reading, so see you people later!
P.S. Sorry I didn't get this done earlier we had monstrous plane troubles and ended up in Steamboat at 1:00 in the morning yesterday.
After sitting on an airplane on the run way for 2 hours, they canceled our flight, so we got off and got told that there were no more flights to Denver in till noon today, so we got the closest thing to Denver, Colorado springs. We got the last four seats on the plane and shortly landed. We had to then drive back to Denver (another hour) and from Denver to Steamboat, finally!
Maybe they will all be from differient districts that would make sence- it seems like there should be other districts.
The setting probably is dark and in the woods, What we've read so far has also shown that.
