In your blog this week, choose a character from a book you have read in the past few months. Describe the character. What do you admire and dislike about this person. Compare yourself to this character. How are you alike and how are you different? What about this person would you like for yourself and what would you never choose?

Character: Ellie Dingman
Book: Here Today
Ellie is an 11 year old who has one friend her age. Ellie is quiet, shy,keeps to herself, and enjoys reading(especially Nancy Drew).Ellie has troubles at school and other people bully her and her friend. She is a caring person who cares a lot about her Father and siblings.
I admire Ellie because she is a strong hearted and daring person who is not afraid of whats ahead of her.
I am silmilar to Ellie because I also keep to myself and care for others. I am different from Ellie because I am not very daring and she is so daring she snuck out of school and went to New York by herself to visit her mom.
Something I would like that Ellie has is I would like to be strong like her.Something I don't want that she has is her family problems. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her dad while her mom lives in New York.

Kimberly is an immigrant who moves to New York and doesn't know a word of english. She goes to school and makes one friend.

Book: Son of Neptune
I really admire his strength and courage to keep going. I have a lot in common he loves the water, because he is the son of the sea god. As you herd in my speech; I love the water. I would love to have the power control water like him. I would never want to wake up in the middle of nowhere, with no memory.

Book: The Help
I liked this character because of all of the good things she did for other people. I would like to be like this person because she was not afraid of what other people thought of her. I would not like to be like this character not because of it's personality, but because she was in a bad situation with her family.
This is why I really liked this character.
Alta Kaster- That sounds like a great book Amanda. I think because of Ellie and her friend being 11 you can probably really relate to it.

Hey what is a good book to read or a good series
In the book sisterhood of the Traveling pants Tibby has become friends with a 12 year old that has a very bad case of cancer. they are starting to become best friends while all of tibbys other friends are gone.

Annabeth is a daughter of Athena and is the grilfriend Percy Jackson. Annabeth is courages girl who loves battle and would never back down. She is an outgoing person and is definately a leader.

Mary Lennox is a young girl who is mean to everyone. She is moving to a new house. Throught the book, Mary becomes a better person.

Alex's parents died when he was five years old, so he lived with his uncle, Ian. Ian worked at a bank...or so he thought. Then one day the police arrived at his house. Ian Rider had been killed in a car crash. But then, alex went to a scrapyard, found his uncle's car ripped to shreds by bullet holes. It turned out that he had been a M16 operative. through all this, Alex sayed strong and even started working for M16 himself. I respect him for being brave and all ways staying strong.
Hey everybody as far as every body should know i am reading Hitch and the character Moss Trawnley is just like me. He is just like me because he takes leadership over some things just like myself and he lets someone else take charge aswell.

Character: Desperaux Tilling
Book: the Tale of Desperaux
Desperaux Tilling is a mouse who is unigue and unlike all other mice. Instead of always thinking about food like all the other mice, he stares at stain glass window, reads books, and loves music.
I am similar to him because I love stained glass, books, and music. I am different from him because I am not nearly as brave.
a character in my book is fireheart, i know it sounds wierd but thats probably becuase he's a cat i would not have his bravery ,b ut i would like too. it seems like puts himself in some stupid suitations but always wins. ojne thing i woudn't want to be like him is that he is too shy to save his own friend. he just drops him off at a barn.
Tiger's curse is an amazing series about an thousands of year old prince and his brother being cursed and them finding a girl to break the curse. it's a lovely exciting romance with tons of adventures! read it!
I think I am a little bit like the character Katniss, from the Hunger Games. Katniss cares about her family, but can be sad, joyful, nervous, all at the same time. Katniss is kinesthetic and goes with her gut feeling, just like me.

the character im gonna talk about is Prim from the hunger games. She is nice, giving, and charming. once you get to know her u end up liking her. i think she is a lot like me. she loves her family, cares for all animals, and is very interpersonal. she is not afraid to risk her life for the wellfare of others and is very imaginative. i love Prim!

Book: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Carmen is one of the 4 sisters and she went to see her dad for the summer. Her mom and dad divorced when carmen was very young. This summer would be the first time she has visited her dad at his house since the divorce had happened. Carmen is very outgoing, smart, feels like she's invisible,and she is kind. Also, she thinks about things before she does them the most out of the 4 sisters, but she gets mad at things when she doesn't like them without thinking about the silver lining of the gray cloud (in other words, she's kind of selfish). For example, when she went to visit her dad, he wanted to suprise her about him getting married.Then she got really upset that he didn't tell him and wanted to go back with her mom. She is also really good at math. I think we are alike because we are both good at math, outgoing, and kind. I would not ever like to be selfish, but I think we have a lot in common.

Travis and Corey are pranksters. I, on the other hand, am not. I am very cautious and scared of ghosts. Travis is very brave and not scared of supernatural life. Also, he is very open about his opinions, and I am not.

Character: Percy Jackson
Book: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
Percy is 12 and is diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. He also has a horrible step dad named Smelly Gabe. His dad is Poseidon even though he doesn't know it. I admire that Percy is so daring excited for adventure. The only thing I dislike about him is that he is kind of bossy. I think I am like him because I am sort of daring but always want to go on an adventure. We are different because he is a son of a god and can do anything he wants with water. I would like to control water but I would not like to almost get killed every day. This is a great book for people who like action and adventure

Percy is a teenage boy with extraodinary powers. He can control water with his mind. We are alike in one way we both love water. I love to swim and surf in the ocean. One way that we are different, is that he has powers and I don't. I admire the fact that he has so much courage. I dislike the amount of enemies he has. I would want his powers. I wouldn't want his enemies.
Tanner I agree with you about Rick Roirdan. I love his books.
My character is: Kelsey Hays
Book: Tiger's Curse
Kells is a 17 year old girl who lives with her foster parents and their children. Her foster mom wants a vegan family and is not the best cook. When Kelsey starts a job working at a circus, her job being to feed the tiger, is when her whole life changes.
I am like Kelsey because she loves poetry and reading and she's stubborn. I admire Kells because she makes good decisions and gets to travel everywhere.
Something i want that Kelsey has is going from old beat up cars to mega yachts. Something i don't want that she has is all of her hard decisions, injuries in her adventures and losing her real parents.
